Spreading Awareness For Student Athlete's Mental Health
Spreading Awareness For Student Athlete's Mental Health
Locked-In is a way for athletes to stop ignoring their mental health and talk about it openly. Locked-In recognizes the struggles and challenges of being in a sport, while balancing school and a social life. De-stigmatizing mental health allows student athletes to recognize when they're having a hard time and experiencing emotions such as depression, anxiety or low self-esteem.
Our mission to destigmatize mental health issues in student athletes by educating, providing resources and spreading awareness.
We are seniors who attend Omaha Central High School and we are a part of DECA. DECA prepares us for becoming entrepreneurs in careers such as marketing, finance, hospitality and management.
In DECA, we're passionate about raising awareness for mental health in student athletes. Our project aims to educate and support the community by promoting open conversations, providing resources, and fostering a supportive environment.
